If you live in the Northeast or Mid-Atlantic states, I'd probably be delivering your piece myself, for two reasons; first, because that way we're sure it will get there in unscratched and in one piece and, second, because it doesn't have to be crated, it would probably cost you less than shipping it by truck.

That being said, the amount I charge depends on many things, such as mileage, the current price of gasoline, whether there's an overnight stay involved, and if I'm making other deliveries on the same trip. As a rough guide to how much a delivery to your home might be, I suggest you use Google Maps and ask for directions from Deansboro, NY to your address. The resulting screen will have a total mileage calculation right at the top, and if you multiply this number (the number of miles one-way from me to you) by .80, the total will be pretty close to what you'd have to pay me to deliver, unless I have other deliveries on the same trip, in which case the charge would be somewhat less.

If you live in other parts of the country, shipping would have to be by common carrier or blanket shipper, and those prices will have to be figured individually. If you are contemplating a bid and wish to know what the shipping cost would be, please let me know where the piece would be going and I can get an estimate for you.

In either case, if your bid is the highest and you are asked for a deposit, I will tell you the delivery/shipping cost before you make the deposit. That way there will be no surprises at the moment of delivery.
