The cabinet is 70" tall by 30" wide and its 6 1/4" depth is just enough to hold CDs and DVDs. Its top overhangs the case by a couple of inches on either side and an inch or so on the front. The base has only front legs, to provide clearance for baseboards, so its back can hug the wall.
The top section has 4 shelves sized for CDs, and it will hold about 280 standard CDs. The lower also has 4 shelves, and these are the right size for DVDs. The lower section will hold about 200 DVDs. The shelves have vertical dividers to keep the contents from falling over on their sides.
The cabinet is made of cherry, with both sides of very nice figured cherry boards, and the doors are covered with woven flat reed (rattan) in a herringbone pattern.
