The idea for the design of this piece was simply to make a place to store CDs that would sit on the floor, not take up too much room (maybe even stand in a corner), and be interesting to look at in itself. It ended up holding lots more discs than I thought it would when I started out to design it, which was a pleasant surprise. - Steve Mackintosh
